According to BINDING Catholic Tradition, St. Augustine and others assure us that validity of succession and the power of papal jurisdiction (or in the case of bishops and priests), the episcopal or priestly power of jurisdiction do not depend on the personal orthodoxy of pope, bishop or priest.
